In the contemporary era, a growing number of individuals are facing substantial levels of stress and less sleep because of study or work routines. This essay will discuss the main causes behind this growing trend and will propose practical measures to address them.
The main cause behind this trend is that the heavy work load and academic race among the students resutling in the enormous pressure and less sleep, which affect their mental and physical health significantly. With the invention of technology, individuals are getting busier in their studies and jobs, generating a rat race which leads to poor healthcare, affecting their mind, body and social life. For instance, according to a study, 30% of graduates in Pakistan are reported to have high stress and anxiety due to busy routines, heavy work load and low sleeping duration.
The most effective solution to this problem would be the eradication of unhealthy competition among individuals and implementation of mental health policy by the government. The officials would reduce the race among the students and other individuals, provide them with essential facilities which would lead to a healthy and prosperous society where everyone would feel stress-free and will sleep for sufficient time. For example, if the government implements a policy to minimize the working hours for the people and provide the students with proper mental health facilities, there are great chances of the reduction of stress and sleeping problems among the people.
In conclusion, while people are suffering from heavy work hours and less sleep due to the academic race and more work load, reducing the competition among the students and implementing a mental health law can tackle this pressing issue.
