Band 5+: Some people think that students should study all subjects at school while others claim that they need to choose the ones that they good at or find interesting.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, many people think that students must study every subject at schools, while others argue that they should pay attention only to the subjects they are interested in. Although all subjects give a lot of knowledge for students and learn everything at these subjects, in my opinion, if students should focus only on their preferred and intersecting subject, they might find many opportunities for their future.

There are also advantages to studying all subjects at schools for their education. Generally, at present in many countries students must study the whole subject, which is something students are not interested in. However, it influenced students’ critical thinking, had all of the knowledge and developed adaptations for learning. For example, they study math, biology, chemistry, and others, which develops their thinking and brain because they do many exercises for these subjects. If they study all the lessons, they might have a basic knowledge of every subject. That is why students should study whole subjects.

Despite these arguments, they should focus only on their preferred lessons. This is because, in the future, for some students, other subjects may not be crucial to learning. For example, if teenagers would have become English teachers, it would be unnecessary learning and studying chemistry, so they would also be able to develop the knowledge they need for their future career at an earlier stage. Therefore, if students spend a lot of time on their interesting subject, it will increase their motivation to study more and more and the result also will be successful. As a result, students can achieve better academic results by focusing more on the subjects that match their interests and future career goals.

In conclusion, although the students learn basic foundation education by studying all subjects, I believe that they should learn and pay attention only to their interests. Therefore, they can build their future lives in schools by studying their preferred lessons.
