While it is thought that intelligence is best evaluated by success, others feel intelligence can be determined by several other factors. I believe that being intelligent is just one of the multiple things required to be successful.
To begin with, intelligence is a very subjective term and can very immensely throughout the course of life with new learnings and experiences. Subsequently, it is not always accompanied by success, as
being successful is a multifactorial event and requires a lot of other things like timing, and hardwork other than just having a high intelligent quotient. If this was true every high IQ person would be successful. Furtehrmore, as it is said ‘Hardwork beats talent, when talent does not work hard’. There are numerous examples of successful people that have achieved everything by sheer determination and working round the clock and it would not have been possible just with their aptitude.
However, the notion of intelligence and success going hand in hand cannot be entirely neglected. As, brilliance obviously catalyzes the process of attaining accomplishments and help people navigate the road to success better. Without some level of intellect and wisdom achieving things is not impossible, but is definitely harder and might take much longer. For this very reason, young kids are encouraged to engage in intellectual activities so that they are able to make calculative choices in future.
To conclude, In my opinion, success and intelligence and exist exclusively.
