In recent years, advertising products has become so common for unions, enabling people to see them in any corner of the world. In this regard, some people assume that adverts have the power to manage our shopping decisions, while others believe they benefit individuals by allowing them to obtain more information on items. In my opinion, advertisements are more intended for acquiring information; however, this essay will discuss both aspects of this discussion.
On the one hand, advertising appeals to people’s emotions and desires by employing persuasive techniques. For example, many advertising companies usually take limited numbers and discounts for their goods and contract with celebrities, such as Cristiano and Lionel, who can influence the public so as to urge residents to buy items even if they do not need them. These kinds of methods usually create a sense of urgency and a need to own the advertised products, encouraging consumers to draw unwise purchasing conclusions.
On the other hand, advertisements are useful to gather huge amounts of data on goods. Adverts often share data about new features and functions of items that could be used to reduce individuals’ difficulties and provide their security. For instance, we all would not know about the new model of Samsung enriched with new features, allowing us to easily find information with a sole click, if this product were not advertised. Citizens also could not have information on cars, enabling disabled people to drive safely with the help of the AI platforms used in these vehicles, if their advertisements were not spread on the whole social site.
In conclusion, although advertisements control our purchasing decisions, I believe that their main function is to help people obtain more information on goods.
