There are people who believe that the main benefit of international cooperation is in the protection of the environment, while there are people who have a stance that the main interest is for the world economy. In this essay, I will discuss both views before I give my opinion.
Firstly, international cooperation can help us protect our environment more effectively. This is because through cooperation, the governments of countries can hold meetings and discuss environmental problems. Besides, in those meetings, the governments can find solutions for some issues together, so that environment issues can be addressed effectively. For instance, the governments from the UN can hold meetings to find the way to tackle some issues such as energy crisis and global warming.
Secondly, international cooperation can help us develop our economy. This is because through cooperation, countries can support each others, promote economic development. Besides, international cooperation can help developing countries tackle some problems related to well-being. This is because some developed countries such as the US, Japan or China can support them with finance or some top-notch facilities. Therefore developing countries’ well-being can enhance, become happier. For example, we have the WTO, an organization about the world’s economy. In this organization, countries can hold meetings, discuss and find a way to collaborate with each other more effectively.
In conclusion, although there are people who believe that the major advantage of international cooperation is in the protection of the environment, others have the stance that the main pros are the world economy. For me, international cooperation has both benefits related to the environment and economy. This is because through cooperation, countries can stay together and find plans to support each others in economy and environment.
