It is widely believed that news media has a significant impact on human lives, which is considered as an adverse trend. From my point of view, it does more good than harm to society.
The first significant reason is that news media can be regarded one of the most favorable platforms for staying updated on trends and important issues. To be more specific, the news consumers can easily gain a better understanding of domestic/national and international events. For example, taking advantage of some convenient applications such as Facebook, Threads or others helps access the news effortlessly and sort it by preferences. By simply clicking on different links, the audiences are able to obtain a wide range of content, including videos, articles or images.
On the other hand, this new channel can provide unique opportunities to exchange global information and gather almost all data in a variety of fields from individuals living in other cultural regions. It is obivious that some can have the ability to share and also foster a positive environment where people can get to learn about diverse lifestyles, perspectives and traditions of some isolated areas. To illustrate, TikTok, an app allowing users to leave comments, make questions about short clips, in which the content recipients can express their interests by engaging in those discussions. As a result, new helpful tips and knowledgeable information would be gained and shared popularly.
To sum up, the positive effects of news media overshadow its negative sides when it comes to social life. It may serve as the fastest way to catch up on news and exchange global culture. Thus, I firmly believe in this perspective and agree that it will have more futuristic prospects for us.
