When discussing people’s ideas about investing money to renovate or demolish old buildings, they would decide to destroy them. In this case, I firmly disagree with the following statements.
One reason is that old buildings are crucial for people to learn about our history and traditions. For instance, the Ancient House in Loc Yen village, where many artifacts are designed with historical portraits. By visiting these buildings, individuals are able to explore our ancient life and see the connection between the past and the present. Consequently, we can learn from the mistakes of the old people and adopt good things from them.
Furthermore, maintaining old buildings boosts the country’s economy. In other words, old buildings can be used for tourism, and a lot of tourists are keen on venturing to places with a historical atmosphere. To give an example, Italy is a nation with a long-standing culture from ancient architecture to cuisine. They attract a large number of people yearly. That means, the more tourism, the more job opportunities for local residents, contributing to the state economy.
To recapitulate, despite the argument that old buildings should be replaced with modern constructions, I prioritize preserving historical architecture to maintain cultural heritage, foster a sense of identity, and provide sustainable development.
