Schools are believed to be the place where the future of the nation are nurtured. However, there is an argument between distinct groups who believe that school uniforms are totally not needed and should be banned, while others support the total opposite. I personally opine that educational institutes should have a proper dress code for the students.
There are several reasons that an appropriate dressing is a must in school going children. To begin with, it brings a sense of discipline and teaches them a way of living withing the society. It inculcates professionalism in them right from the start of their life as a student.
Secondly, having a nice formal attire with formal shoes and hair nicely done makes them look more civilized and gives them a feeling of being the future of the nation. Moreover, it also boosts confidence in them and gives them a feeling of equality, irrespective of the caste, gender, race they belong to.
On the other hand, not imposing any restrictions on the dressing style also gives children the freedom to express themselves in front of everyone. In addition, wearing whatever the student wants also ensures a comfortable learning experience throughout their time at the place. They might also want to go to school happily rather than feeling being forced to. For instance, when students are allowed to wear fancy dress on their birthdays rather than the usual boring school uniform they seem to be happy.
While there are points on the agreement and disagreement to the statement of banning the uniforms at school. I am in the favour of following the existing system of uniform because banning it might sometimes lead to inappropriate dressing at a place where young minds might be influenced very easily.
