It has been noted that these days a number of people are preferring online classes over face-to-face classes, while I understand where they are coming from, I strongly believe that the best way to learn is through attending classes physically since the teachers are able to understand the students and their inclinations. And the students are able to develop their skills better.
The teachers are able to understand the situated-ness of the class, when they are able to see not only the faces but also the body language of the students. Each class has different kind of students in them and it is easier to understand the needs and demands by interacting with them during and after the lectures. After preparing a study plan based on a specific class-type a lecturer is able to express themselves freely and can use different forms of tools to make learning fun. For instance, an art teacher can take the kids to the National Museum to instill better understanding of different kinds of artworks.
While online mode of learning has its own benefits, like it lets the student to plan their study hours, and it also allows them to choose the instructor they want, example, Korean Embassy in India provides online Korean classes that admits students from all over India. The students are able to learn Korean from Korean origin teacher. However the interaction between students with their instructors and classmates is limited to the class hours and emails, which causes students to lack in their speaking skills.
Online learning is a more accessible, but it impacts certain skills that a student could have formed during in-person classes. I believe that if one has to choose amongst the two, in-person classes with the teachers is better for their skill development and over-all learning.
