It is often believed that remote working is more efficient than working in a conventional workplace. I completely agree with this statement as it saves employees’ time and enhances their work-life balance.
First of all, it is claimed that remote work is time-efficient. That can be explained by the fact that employees do not have to commute in traffic jams as they can work from their homes, which consumes several hours daily. For example, workers can start their duties or improve their digital skills instead of spending around two hours on the roads. As a result, online working has a positive ripple effect on employees’ energy and creativity.
Secondly, there is also another benefit of remote work, which is the balance between work and life. That can be explained by the fact that employees have a great chance to manage their personal and professional duties effectively. For example, during Covid-19, many extended families became closer as they had to work from home surrounding their relatives. Hence, this flexibility positively affects the well-being of workers and enhances their time management skills.
In conclusion, while some people prefer working from an office, I believe that remote work is more effective as it provides personal flexibility and saves employees’ time. Personally, I believe that online work positively affects personal creativity and mental health.
