In the present day, some argue that one can never truly master a language unless they have lived or been employed in the country where it is spoken. Perhaps, I don’t entirely agree with the statement that fluency can only be achieved by living in that place where it is derived from. In this essay, I will discuss my perspective with brief details.
As far as I am concerned, that advancement of technology, online learning platforms, and social websites and apps offer an excellent ladder to attain fluency and proficiency in the language without moving any other nation. However, with the rise of and awareness of online platforms individuals can practice and enhance their language skills from anywhere in the world. For instance, platforms like Duolingo app, podcast channels, and HelloTalk that easily connect any individual with native speakers by virtual meeting.
Furthermore, it is not necessary to change your geographical location to learn any language. But fluency comes from consistent efforts, dedication, and regular practice play a crucial role in mastering a language. Additionally, fluency is built through forming regular learning habits such as daily vocabulary review and frequent participation in conversations. Moreover, online platforms have revolutionized language education, and these tools are more accessible and adaptable to learners’ needs than relying solely on living abroad.
To sum up, proficiency and fluency can be gained with self-discipline and enhanced reading and listening activities, rather than moving to any other land or state.
