The art and culture is getting extinct in today’s fast moving digital world. While I accept the fact government should spend money more on other domain such as education and healthcare but in my opinion I believe supporting cultural activites may be beneficial for the population.
In today’s world where digital devices have replaced the traditional art and culture activities people had became unaware and unknown about the art and culture. There is a much need to promote the art and culture so that it can be carry forward to the next generations as the heritage and culture is identity of once existence. Therefore the government should run campaigns and events related to cultural activities , art competitions and lot more related to art and culture to spread awareness and educate population especially youth related to art and culture. Hence, government funding is needed and may benefit pouplation in terms of retaining their identity their art and culture.
Meanwhile, there are lot other problems in priority to art and culture such as education and healthcare . As governments have limited funds they should use it wisely.Providing education and healthcare are basic needs and fundamental duties of government which also eat lot of funds of the government. Art and culture cannot flourish without education and healthcare. Therefore, the government should spend less on art and culture and should focusing on solving more important problems.
In conclusion, despite the limited funds with goverment , government should atleast spend 10% of funds in art and culture compare to what it spends on education and healthcare. As the art and culture is our heritage and we can’t manage to lose it as it indicates who we are , where we are and where we came from Therefore it should be preserved.
