There is a debate over whether the responsibility of the public being healthy should be taken by governments or individuals. A number of people argue that governments play an important role in taking care, while others believe every individual is able to maintain their own healthy lifestyle and they ought to. I agree with the latter group.
The argument in favour of the first opinion holds some merit. It’s the power of technological development as most of the human beings are covered with technological devices, such as phones, tablets, laptops, and TV, which are one of the keys to manipulate them. The internet pop-ups are an example, they are spread throughout the whole world and the government can take care of community health using them. The government is able to share advertisements or suggestions on the internet that people can not neglect as demonstrated by UK researchers, more than 72 percent of social media users do not want to ignore information about healthy life. Consequently, without any challenges the government can save a healthy lifestyle.
Despite these arguments, I side with those who believe that only individuals are able to be careful in their healthy living because no one can guess or diagnose someone’s conditions without checking up. For instance, the UK has become the first country in the world to offer all its citizens access to take a nurse. However, inhabitants were actively exercising to live healthier due to their knowledge, while employees were for diagnosing, suggesting and discussing health problems. As a result, individuals should take responsibility for their own health without any support, whatever it depends only on the people, not on the government.
In conclusion, although there are differing views, I believe that nothing can help human well-being better compared to us. People should response their healthy lifestyle alone, while the next stage is for the government.
