It is argued that spending money on the advancement of technology in order to explore the space is meaningless, and it can be spent wisely on other fields. I completely agree with this statement.
There are a number of reasons why spending on space exploration is thought to be useless. since we already have a planet to live, we do not have any need to look for another one.
Currently, the world’s approximate population is just above 8 billions and still, the Earth is capable enough of providing accomodation for people. Apart from this, some organizations and even people are pouring money on the technology improvement to explore the outer space. In fact, Elon Musk , the owner of SPACE X, has already spent over $100 billion dollars to search for a place to move. And he is still not sure to find any habitable place .
Additionally , we better spend this amont of money on urgent fields. One of them is nation’s military base. By spending on the enhancement of countries militiray base and weapons, we can hinder any possibility of war among nations. Because , this makes other countries afraid to break out a violence towards another one. Besides, investing in the process of finding new ways to treat diseases and a variety of viruses can be a great help. Currently, many people are suffering from uncurable diseases , and some of them are dying because of the absense of the medication. Therefore, if we found any type of medications or vaccines, it would at least help us to reduce the number of people dying.
In conclusion, I believe that there are other better ways to spend money instead of space exploration for the reasons mentioned above.
