This is a complex argument where some people believe that unlimited fresh water usage is acceptable for human rights purposes. However, others argue that fresh water usage should be regulated and conducted by government law. I personally believe the government should intervene and control water usage to prevent future limitations.
There are some selfish individuals who think highly of themselves before considering how their actions might affect other people, believing it is their human right to use fresh water as they want. For example, when showering or taking a bath, they tend to take longer showers and use unlimited water. Because of these the usage of fresh water becomes excessive to fulfill one need. Another example is when they wash their hands. We tend to leave the sink running while rubbing our hands with soap before rinsing them. Additionally, it is true that humans have the right to fulfill their human rights, such as water usage.
As a natural resource, excessive fresh water usage might cause damage to the environment and could lead to a bigger problem in the future generations. To prevent this situation, the government should intervene and take control of fresh water usage. For example, with regulated fresh water usage, people will be more mindful of their water consumption. On top of that, the government could launch a campaign to promote ideal freshwater management and raise awareness about the consequences of excessive water usage. This will help people to understand the importance of water saving and a great way to conserve limited resources for longer years and prevent them from becoming limited.
In conclusion, both perspectives highlight valid reasons for water usage. However, while it is our right to use water, we must exercise caution and responsibility, as it is a natural resource that could become scarce if overused. Furthermore, the government should take proactive measures to regulate water usage to ensure its sustainability for future generations.
