Band 6+: Some people want to meet each other in person to communicate while the other want to telephone instead of face-to-face communication. Which of thế communication methods do you prefer?

These days, many people have a tendency to meet their partners to communicate while the others want smartphones instead of face-to-face communication because of different practical advantages. From my standpoint, I do prefer the telephone to communicate due to the convenience, saving time and money that a phone offers.

First and foremost, using a telephone to communicate could be a better choice because of its convenience. In the contemporary world, by using electronic devices like a smartphone people could stay at home and contact each other despite distance. Therefore, directedly meeting each other to communicate would no longer be necessary instead of communicating by a phone as an indirect method, it would be gradually popular when humans find its convenience and tend to use a phone which is equipped with communication apps such as Teams, Google Meets or WeChat. Take me as an example, as a student who lives away from home and does not have more time to close the family, I find it convenient whenever talking with my parents and sister, I just need to make a video call to them in my leisure time.

Second, choosing indirect communication could save time and money on more direct communication. In fact, it takes much more time to commute to a cafe or a random spot to talk with your friends or partners. Instead, sending emails or texting messages could be an optimal choice to not only save time but also easily transform the information, as people need not spend more hours commuting and implementing those actions right at their home. For example, it takes me more than fifty minutes to get to school just to ask my teacher only a question while just spending ten minutes sending an email to him and receiving a fast and clear response; therefore, I have more time to do other activities such as reading books and learning foreign languages.

To conclude, while opinions seem to diverge on whether meeting with each other directly or using a telephone is a more optimal choice to effectively communicate, I am convinced that indirect communication could be an option to communicate because of its convenience and saving time.
