There is a widespread perception that those high required jobs such as doctors, nurses and teachers should get higher salary than those in sports and entertainment majors as they have been contributing community more. Upon a careful consideration all perspectives, i find myself in agreement with the statement.
First and foremost, it is true to say that sportspeople, for example, also make a huge profit for society. To be more detailed, sports majors implement international tournaments that can attract foreigners all over the world to either take part in or spectate. Therefore, this will earn considerably to contribute to government budgets through taxes. Alternatively, we are unable to deny the fact that professional works, such as teachers, doctors and nurses, are one of the most sophisticated jobs and have a great impact on citizens. To exemplify, teachers are those interact directly with and educate people by their knowledge resources which means teachers are also one of the factors informing societal nature. Thus, they are deserved to be paid more.
Secondly, take teachers as an example again, this job demand a lot of skills, time and knowledge to become who they want to be-teachers, which means educators must spend more efforts, dedicated time on schools as well as training time to get jobs. Paying higher salary, therefore, is an optimal way to retain employees.
To sum up, I once again reaffirm that although sports and entertainment personalities contribute hugely to society, professional works are more complex and have big influence on citizens and society as a whole.
