Some professionals think that it is better for pupils to start learning another language at primary schools rather than secondary schools. I think that advantages outweigh the disadvantages
I believe that one of the advantages would be that in the future, kids will be able to build their worldwide connections easier. When learning other languages at primary schools, they will be able to speak fluently with their peers from other countries in the future and build long term relationships. For instance, a kid who’s parents decided that he will have to start learning other languages will have an opportunity to talk and connect with their peers in a couple of years from now, whether they want to build their network in videogames or creating projects together, it will be significantly easier to communicate with them and build long lasting relatioonships. Another advantage in my opinion is that when it comes to moving to another country, the cultural transition for the kids would be much easier when they start to learn new language at primary schools. If a russian speaking family wants to move to Italy, it would be very beneficial for their kid to learn Italian language at a primary school which will allow him to transition to a new cultural surrounding.
On the other hand, i think that a disadvantage for it would be early studying overwhelm for a pupil. Most of the kids in primary schools are still learning speak on their native language and how the world works. Their baseline is not developed yet to learn another language which will be overwhelming to do for them.
Sometimes, in some cases, parents are making their kids do something that they’re against of and when a person does something that they don’t want to do or they are being made to do that, the task becomes dull. For example, if a kid was forced to learn a new language even when it’s hard for them to speak on their native one, there would be some resistance.
To conclude, i believe that advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
