There are several aspects related to the question that whether the domestic animals such as cats, dogs etc. should not be kept in cities or not. There is no doubt that keeping such animals at community can be challenging, however they can prove to be wonderful partners. This essay shall shed light in both the notions.
On one hand, cities are already densely populated and lacks cleanliness facilities. In such an environment; nurturing domestic animals can be a bit challenging. Moreover, animals are already prone to certain contagious diseases such as rabies, Lyme disease, Ringworms etc. Ensuring their weekly medical chek up, getting them vaccinated on time and maintaining a good hygiene cannot be budget friendly as well as time consuming. Beside this some people in the community might develop allergies from the skin, salive or fur of these animals. Additonally, the noises and sounds from these companion animals can be irritating to the individuals who come home after a long day at work.
On the other hand, another view can be observed among the masses where they argue that domestic animals can be very good companions once you train them. In urban areas, people mostly live alone for the sake of their jobs etc. hence animals such as cats, can help them cope with loneliness and depression. Caring for animals can develop responsibility and empathy in an individual. Furthermore, they develop good communication skills.
In the nutshell, we can say that it is very difficult to keep pets at home in cities as it comes with a lot of responsibility so that the animal as well as the society does not suffer. No doubt, that they can bring immense joy and love into the lives of their owner. In my opinion, domestic animals should not be kept at homes because of the fact that they require extra care and give tough time to the people around as many people are not fond of cats and dogs.
