Some people believe that government should spend money on hosting international events, while others believe that it is an excessive waste. I believe that government should invest money in international sport events which are crucial for economic and political development of the counrty.
On the one hand, some individuals find hosting international events such as the Olympic Games and the Football World Cup is a waste of money. Thus, Government allocates money for not only international events, therefore, preparing. For instance, the Olympic Games are the biggest events worldwide, and athletes from various countries are participated in these events. Moreover, residential and sport complexes will be built for these athletes and provide a convenience. As a result, it can be affected negatively for country’s economy and lead to economic problems.
On the other hand, countries should spend a huge amount of money on conducting international events which have political and economic benefits. Moreover, there are some advantages such as increasing popularity and interest from other countries. For example, the first Olympic Game was in Greece’s mountain, and government of Greece spent enormous cash, resulting growth of country’s fame. As a result, these benefits lead to boosting the economy and political status of this country.
