Some people believe that music,art and drama are as essential as other school classes, especially at the primary schooling. This essay totally agrees with this statement because those subjects can improve students’ creativity level and help them to achieve higher marks on science subjects.
Non-science classes can be a key factor to enhance students’ creativity level. There is on part of the brain that works only when individuals do artistic jobs such as drawing, playing piano and acting. Moreover, when people ignore that part of the brain, that can decline their ability to think critically and wide their imagination. For instance, some international schools in Saudi Arabia started to involve artistic classes and that showed a significant increasing on students’ imagination and their critical thinking has improved. In other words, artistic activities help students think in more creative ways and develop original ideas.
Learning art can also help student to achieve higher grades on science subjects. This is because when students attend science classes after non-science classes, both sides of their brain work at the same time. As a result, they are more focused and motivated during academic lessons. For example, a recent study has shown that most renowned scientists have an artistic hobby in which they practice on their free times. This clearly shows that creativity and academic success are closely connected.
In conclusion, creative classes should not be treated as optional ore less important than academic classes because they improve students’ imagination and help them to success on their science subjects.
