One school of thought holds that constantly manufacturing new fashion products causes negative impacts for the environment. personally, I totally agree with this view, as this trend leads to excessive textile waste and causes serious environmental damage.
One of the major reasons why the fashion industry is detrimental for the environment is it encourages overconsumption. Fashion brands often introduce a large quantity of new products and persuade customers to purchase them, even though people have little practical need for these products. As a result, a lot of clothing is worn only a few times before being discarded, while a large proportion of it is made from environmentally harmful materials. This creates a great deal of textile waste is released to the environment, significantly contributing to pollution.
