High school graduates nowadays tend to gain experience by traveling the world rather than go straight to university or get a job. Although formal education is important, I believe that real life experience they will get from different places by travelling will be beneficial in university life or in working environment. In this essay, I will write my view regarding the decision that graduates made for travelling both the advantages and disadvantages.
Sometimes there might be a major issue for the graduates to choose between go to pursuing education or getting a job, therefore, travelling might be the right solution. By go to other places, graduates will gain people’s advice, experiences, and perspectives which can be use for decision-making. Moreover, too rush to decide leads to disappointment and sometimes less than ideal outcomes. Additionally, real life experience highly possible to elaborate in formal education thus in the workplace. For instance time management, self discipline, and organizing skills are useful to implemented.
Whereas, graduates are sometimes too comfortable with the free time which might carry away the holiday nuance, or even extend their leisure times then forget to continue education or professional career path. This situation also affects career opportunities along with the productive-age and the job availability out there.
In summary, despite the fact that negative effects can easily occur, taking a short break to travel might be essential as long as the graduates understand their goals. The life-changing experience also key asset in both the professional and academic worlds.
