There is a perception that computers will soon surpass people or even replace them. I partially agree with this statement, and in this essay I will discuss different views and opinions that concern this topic.
From my perspective, technologies will exceed people’s ability to think due to the fact that computers contain a huge amount of information, which gives them an advantage. Based on an abundance of data which is accumulated inside computers, they will be able to manage almost every difficulty. Moreover, individuals’ brains are very restricted in their capabilities, and in a majority of daily situations humans find solutions much slower than digital devices. Programs are able to solve difficulties and tasks immediately, in contrast to human society.
On the other hand, it is very frequent that aperson can get past a challenge only byrelying on his gut feeling, whichis unfamiliar to artificial devices. In addition, computer’s ideas might not always be workable or exist in real circumstances, because all its notions are just theoretical. Technologies don’t possess any logical thoughts or creativity; they rely only on the information given by people. For instance, if we asked a computer to paint a masterpiece or paintings, it would create the painting by gathering parts of existing arts together. The result would be common, empty, and without soul.
In conclusion, I am more inclined to agree with the notion that technologies will be more intelligent than humans in future. Computers are progressing rapidly; however, there is also a high likelihood that people will stay higher than artificial devices intelligently.
