Online study has a positive impact on teaching at university. Thus, some people argue that online courses Should be offered by some universities and academies to instead traditional classee. In my opinion, I completely disagree with this assertion and provide several rationales to support my stance.
First, online courses can lead tor communication and teamwork. If student didn’t have opportunities to interact with others and teachers, their communication skills and team work skills would not develop. They may also not have relationships with their classmates. As a result, this positively negatively contributes to loneliness, affect on their overall study motivation and lower academic performance. For instance, when some universities apply online study in Vietnam, a lot of students can not communicate and present their opinion fluently when coming back traditional classes.
Secondly, online courses cause procrastination for students. They might be annoying by notifications from unimportant apps and stricked supervision from teachers. Therefore, Therefore, their academic productivity could be lower. For example, in COVID-19, when doing the final tests, instead of doing by themselves, some students tend to use google to search the answer for each question or discuss with their friends. This can not only affect their overall academic results but also make them depend to much on Internet or friends.
In condusion, online courses offers numerous drawbacks, including lack of practical skills and delay for students. I firmly believe that universities should be consider the effect of each mean of study to have a good impact on all students.
