There is an opinion of some bachelor students, that studying other subjects in addition to main ones is useful and they want to learn them. Others claims that focusing only on studying for a qualification is better. I think that while focusing essential subjects for profession is good, but studying other alternative courses may help people in further life.
Focusing on learning essential subjects for a qualification is good. Studying only necessary subjects for graduation, and not wasting time on other additional courses may be seemed useful, because outcome of this is better marks in GPA in major subjects, and people may graduate from University with higher chance of finding work in the field they have studied on. Furthermore, studying more about the field people are going to work in, provide better understanding of what they are going to do in this field. This means that, they may learn more and use this information then in work which makes them more valuable in this sphere and more successful.
Nevertheless the benefits of extra studying majors, learning other subjects is better. Paying more attention on the major subjects may be useful in some way, but not appropriate. First of all, living a life does not mean only working 24 hours 7 days a week, but also communicating, learning yourself and exploring the world. In university there are interesting courses like history and philosophy which may be related to everyday life. For example, philosophy and literature help to understand people and improve communication skills. Second of all, if people are not sure about the major the have chosen, learning other subjects can help understand what is their purpose. Other subjects or professions can be more related to people’s temperament and they have option to change their decision about major have chosen.
In conclusion, I think that despite benefits of focusing only on main subjects, studying other is better, due to 2 reasons.
