Cities offer greater employment opportunities and a higher standard of living. Young people are seeking a good lifestyle and quality education, while older individuals desire peace, happiness, and access to clean nature. I will elaborate on this issue in the following paragraphs.
To begin with, people aged 18 to 30 are striving for an upgraded lifestyle nowadays. They not only aspire for good jobs but also seek better education, infrastructure, food, and healthcare, which are typically more efficient in cities compared to the countryside. For instance, my father left our village to move to a big city for the higher education of my sister and me. Although he did not want to leave the village, he made the sacrifice for our future. Therefore, the reasons for this trend I mentioned above, as well as potential solutions, involve improving infrastructure and updating services in urban areas through government initiatives. This may encourage young people to reconsider their living choices.
Furthermore, as previously mentioned, young individuals are leaving rural areas and moving to cities, while older people tend to remain in villages. Many individuals over the age of 60 feel lonely without their families nearby, and there is often no one to care for them. To address this issue, teenagers should visit their hometowns more frequently and spend quality time with their elderly relatives. Additionally, hiring a maid or caregiver could help ensure that their needs are met.
In conclusion, the trend of young people moving to cities is at its peak, and the living conditions and lifestyle in urban areas are generally superior to those in the countryside. Meanwhile, older adults often work on farms to maintain balance in their lives and enjoy time spent in nature.
