Stress has always been an unpleasant companion that has crippled individuals, from all over the globe, throughout human history. The method by which modern society operates has indirectly multiplied the percentage of stressors the average person is exposed significantly, to the point of becoming such a large issue that world leaders have made researching both the causes and possible solutions their prime mission. In my opinion, countries from all over the world should aim to decrease the contributing factors, as well as reduce preexisting stressors to ultimately address the issue head-on.
Due to how rapidly human societies have changed in recent times, the simplicity of life has evolved into a far more complex existence. For example, when you compare the daily lives of people today to the ones in the far past, a marked difference will be noticed regarding the former as they handle far more responsibilities; thus, a greater degree of burdens on their minds. Furthermore, another contributing factor is the stigma surrounding mental health that prevents a person from seeking professional help when it comes to directly tackling the issue of worrying.
Several protocols can be implemented to lower the total degree of negative emotions individuals experience. For instance, emphasizing how vital practicing positive mental exercises, such as mindfulness and meditation, is in regards to combating negative emotions. Moreover, another suggestion would be increasing holidays for workers to give them more time that they could allocate to spending time with loved-ones along with friends; thus, not only decreasing their workload, but also improving their quality of life. Although solutions will help with societal stress generally, it should always be noted that the way a human handles these issues differs from one person to another; therefore, the need for various different protocols is not only recommended, but necessary.
In conclusion, I believe stressful situations will never truly be gone; however, we are still able to manage them by addressing ways to both prevent their causes, and reduce the impact have on us.
