Band 5+: Students are becoming more and more reliant on the Internet. While the Internet is convenient, it has many negative effects and its use for educational purposes should be restricted

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, the Internet becomes a necessary part of students lives, providing the quick access to information and make an educational process easier. However, despite of obvious advantages, growing students addiction to internet causes concerning. Some people think that, the Internet usage should be limited in educational ways. I am partially agree with this statement, because the Internet has not only positive impact but also a negative.

On the one hand, the Internet makes access an information significantly easier. Online libraries, educational sites and video lessons provide students an opportunity to learn complicated topics in comfortable time. There are many organizations which give large information resources available to everyone, such as Skillbox and Yandex learning project. Moreover, the Internet contributes to develop self-educational skills, providing an opportunity to find answers for different questions and learn a new disciplines, which are beyond a regular school learning plan.

On the other hand, excessive usage of Internet can have a negative consequences. Firstly, students have a decreasing preference to critical thinking, due to they usually copy the information instead of analyze it. Secondly, constantly usage of the Internet can be cause of distraction, losing focus and addiction of gadgets. For example, the social media frequently distract student from learning process and it has a negative affect to their marks. Also, the reliability of many information resources doubted and it could be cause of getting incorrect knowledge.

In conclusion, the Internet is a useful tool for education, however excessive usage can be harmful. In my opinion, the limitation of the Internet in educational ways is not the best decision. Instead of it, it is very important to learn students how to use internet correct, develop their critical thinking and self-discipline in order to get maximum benefits from modern technologies.

Research indicates that the characteristics we are born with have much more influence on our personality and development than any experiences we may have in our life. Which do you consider to be the major influence? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Whether human personality and development are primarily determined by genetic inheritance or lifetime experience remains a widely debated topic among psychologists and sociologists. While biological traits establish a foundational baseline, I strongly believe that environmental factors and personal experience ultimately exert a more effect on an individual’s character and growth. Proponents of biological determinism argue […]

Nowadays it is likeable that people can hire workers who can do some kinds of chores such as housework, purchasing groceries, and daily child care.
