Band 5: Students learn more from their school teachers than from other sources such as the internet or television. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 2 Essay)

“Students learn more from their teachers than from other sources”. Well, i think i disagree with that statement. Now in the last 2023, technology is everything. When you go out, everything has their own technology. For example maybe 10 to 20 years ago, when you wanna buy a ticket (all kinds of ticket), you must go to the counter that sell the ticket, but now you can buy a ticket from everywhere. You just open your smartphone and then you will get a ticket. That technology happens also in education system. Maybe from what i’ve been through, i learned a lot of things from other sources. Especially in 2020 to 2022, world shocked by covid-19, and the situation became world pandemic. At that time, I spend my time with my phone almost 12 hours in a day. I did that cause, every school on earth mandatory their students to open gmeet or zoom. Students learn the subject in school from

gmeet or zoom, cause at that time everyone are not be able to go out because the situation of pandemic. And after “school from gmeet or zoom”, many students feel bored cause they are not be able to go out. And when students feel bored, i think each students will scroll their social media (tik tok, instagram, youtube, etc).

Because of that students learn more from other sources, cause when students feel confuse about their homework, i guarantee 80% of them will open their phone, and asking to(google, youtube) to finish their home work. I remembered when i was in pandemic situation, i learn a lot of stuff from other sources. For example i learn how to make properly education video, i learn how to edit video. And i think , i’m getting use editing video, cause all of my home work is making a video for the subject. Another thing that i learned from other sources is cooking and make some drinks. Maybe if you know “dalgona coffee”, i learned how to make that “dalgona coffee”. I learned cooking also, i learned how to make carbonara, “chicken nugget cabe garam”. I have a dream, i wanna study overseas and to make my dream comethru, i should prepare my self on TOEFL and IELTS. During i prepare my TOFL and IELTS, i learn more about TOEFL and IELTS on the internet (youtube, google, etc). So the conclusion from my story is every student in this world learn more from other sources than from their teachers.
