There is currently a contentious argument regarding whether learners acquire more skills and knowledge from their professors compared to resources like television or the Internet. To a certain extent, I acknowledge that students can obtain a wide range of information from TV and various websites. However, I believe that teachers continue to play a crucial role in providing a comprehensive education.
On one hand, teachers have a pivotal influence on learners as they approach each student individually and share their life experiences. They are tremendous supporters who offer appropriate guidance, helping students achieve their academic goals. For instance, four years ago, a professor at my university provided career advice that led to my first job opportunity.
On the other hand, we live in a technological era, which means that a variety of Internet resources are readily available. Learners can access these resources whenever and wherever they choose. For example, during the lockdown in 2020, students could conduct research from home for their academic papers and projects. Moreover, utilizing internet sources offers many benefits. Numerous educational websites, such as Coursera, provide a range of courses, both paid and free, including IT skills and language courses.
In conclusion, I believe that various sources of information have significant advantages and serve as valuable tools for young people, enhancing their knowledge and worldview by providing access to diverse data anytime and anywhere.
