Band 5+: Studies have suggested that nowadays children watch much more television than they did in the past and spend less time on active or creative things. What are the reasons for this and what measures should be taken to encourage children to spend more time on active or creative things?

It is true that recently addiction to technological devices among children has immensely increased, which leads to the depletion of imaginative and active time. While there will undoubtedly be some primary causes of this, families can take steps to mitigate these potential problems.

As the world is modernizing, eventually technological devices become a demand in everyone’s daily life including children ,thanks to this obligation several related causes and effects can be anticipated.First and foremost children spending more time in front of television rather than hanging out outside unlike back in the day could possibly stem from the elevation in entertainment varieties on television. It would appear that former generations had less access to such things such as cartoons and films dedicated to children which allow them to enjoy spending time on television compared to other options unlike next generation.Viewed from this angle, if children have convenient access to technological entertainment sources in this case, they are most likely to seek for effortless amusement. For example ,from my life experience, a part of my childhood was spent in quarantine that my active time was limited and it was mostly filled with television or phone.Besides that no matter how much I pursued to be active or creative ,effortless entertainment sources like social media, films and games were the things that attracted me more.

There are several actions that families/parents could take to solve the problems described above.Initially granted, it could be asserted that limiting accessible time to devices should definitely help parents to intercept inactive time and pursue their children to spend most of the day creating, playing outside or making friends. It is evident that there are many ways that can be applied to emphasize little ones to stay bustling involving planning a good game day outside, painting days or applying to activity lessons based on their interests such as swimming, football or tennis which help them to stay both entertained and active. From this point of view, providing that these children are stimulated to be more active and deplete the time spent in front of TV under the conditions described above, in this way, they are on the point of consuming time in a more active way.

IN conclusion, various measures can be taken to tackle the problems. However,I this the ones I mentioned above are quite satisfactory .
