It is said that successful professional athletes have to be paid more than medical workers and educators. Some people take this as unfair, and others consider it as justified. From my point of view, I do not agree for two main reasons. This essay will explain it clearer.
First of all, it is about the quantity of time spent doing the jobs. As we know, health workers and teachers are required more time in their job than athletes. For instance, in a week teachers officially work for up to 8 hours per day and 30 hours per week and doctors, nurses almost have no time for a day off. Conversely, an athlete spends a mere 2 hours doing practice and then just takes a rest since they have to be fit so that they can fulfill the requirements to be perfect in weight.
Furthermore, it can be considered by the result perceived by these kinds of professions. It is an inevitable fact that athletes are the nation’s representative in the sport however, the result is just for pride. Medical workers and educators are pioneers for the sustainability of the country itself. Their works are dealing with humanity and the future of the nation. Therefore, if they are less paid, it will affect their performance in working. We can envisage that, if the doctors, nurses and teachers had not taken care of the patients and students, the country would not have healthy and intelligent generations. This phenomenonphenomena would be a nightmare and threat for a nation.
In conclusion, when talking about salary, all the health workers and educators must be paid more than professional athletes on the grounds that it is time consuming in the work field and the effect of each job for the nation’s sustainability.
