Everyone should celebrate public holidays with their family. Some individuals believe that it is better to include more public holidays in the calendar. Another person thought that too many holidays may affect the productivity level. I favor latter statement and will discuss both viewpoints, along with my own opinion in the upcoming paragraphs.
One school of thought believes that it is better to include additional public festivals in the calendar so that people can have more time to enjoy these feast days with their families. In this workaholic life, it is hard to find some extra time for family, even sometimes days have passed, but families cannot get time to enjoy their meal together. Also, in this fast-moving era, working people should find some days off and take care of themselves. Studies have shown that behind the problems of High blood pressure, diabetes, and so on is less time for sleeping or a healthy meal. Moving ahead, if feast days are added on in the calendar, then people can go closer to their family members, because sometimes due to the work pressure and less efforts, they forget to celebrate festivals with their families, and they will start feeling lonely. Sometimes these causes can be the bigger reason for separations and social hesitation.
Other school of thought deems that too many extra days may affect the level of productivity. I completely agree that too many feast days make you lazier as compared to the normal routine of holidays given by any workplace. After lots of holidays, people sometimes forget their deadlines, or some employees may not want to accomplish their work, so they just give the excuse of the holiday. Further, for Instance, if any owner has to submit one order in one month, but with 4 weekend holidays and then 3 or 4 additional days, it is hard for anybody to fulfill the order with their labour. Increasing holidays can be the cause of late submissions of orders, and also, they can decrease the level of productivity in big companies. Too many holidays break the constant speed of work because after returning from any long holiday, everyone takes at least one day to start working at their regular speed. Hence, due to above mentioned reasons, I favor this viewpoint.
To recapitulate, I want to say that different people have varied opinions, but I still believe that supplemental feast days can be the cause of two things first, they will decrease the speed of work, and Second, make workers lazy.
