As the technology develops, it is easy to have access to entertainment such as films and games via smartphones and laptops. Some consider this a negative development, while I believe that the development’s pros outweigh its cons.
Initially, the easy access to those entertainments is overwhelmingly addictive. It has become normal to witness most people watching series, films, TV shows and playing on phones basically everywhere. This addiction is causing them to lose touch with reality, in most cases. They do not enjoy the sun anymore or take a moment to appreciate the nature. Spending time on the phone has become their main activity while getting from A to B.
However, on the other side, quick access to everything, especially to entertainment, is a freedom everybody should have. It is really convenient, especially if you are in the line waiting for your turn to come or going on a long trip. As waiting feels boring to many people, watching or playing something really helps to kill the time. In addition, on long journeys where people have to spend most of the time sitting, laptops and phones are the ideal tools for to spend the time with. However, it is always advisable to strike the balance between using those gadgets and avoiding them.
In conclusion, although spending time on laptops/smartphones and having quick access to films and games are addictive, I once again restate my view that everybody has a right to have that easy access. However, we should not also forget to know the limit of when to stop using them for our own health.
