It’s argued that we need to not let teenagers use cellphones. This essay agrees with this statement because mobile phones lead to a lack of focus and bullying.
Of course, we know that youth is the backbone of any country. Therefore, the mental health of teenagers helps the nation develop. On the other side, using technological appliances such as cell phones affects the intelligence and ability of young people to think in a good way. Also, excessive use of technology or exposure to rays from these appliances may be harmful to the brain and sense organs of kids, and this leads to a decrease in their ability to communicate with others and be effective in their country.
Not only lack of focus, but also phones can increase bullying among teenagers. As the extreme difference in types of phones makes youths compete with each other on getting the best type, this surely makes them change their needs. Instead of searching for more knowledge on what helps their country to improve, they will search for types of phones to be famous on social media, and the best one in their opinion will be the one who has the newest mobile phone. A recent study found that the underdeveloped countries spend more money annually on mobile phones, and the number of scientists in these countries decreases year after year. So, I strongly suggest increasing the taxes on buying phones and forcing people to pay a fine if they spend more than two hours each day on their phones. This will encourage them to leave their phones and think of more effective things for their country.
In conclusion, teenagers should not be allowed to carry mobile phones as this affects their ability to be effective citizens and increases competition among them not in searching for a new invention but in getting the latest mobile phone, and this weakens the whole country.
