Band 6+: The advocates of international aid believe that countries have a moral obligation to help each other, while the opponents consider it unnecessary, because money is misspent by the governments that receive it. Discuss these two points of view and give your opinion.

People have contrast views toward collecting humanitarian helps for foreign countries’ disadvantaged people. While there might be some problems regarding the management of these aids, I believe that there are some solutions to prevent all negative issues and it should not be denied particularly by developed countries.

One the one hand, it is a true concern that receiving countries might spent these aids in a wrong way. Firstly, it is likely that some governments cannot determine a proper plan for these helps and lose all the opportunities to overcome difficulties. For instance, back in early 2000s, after Bam’s earthquake in Iran, although several countries sent different equipment for suffered people, it was proven that those stuffs never received to whom it should.

Secondly, some governments might spend international helps for devil purposes. They might spent financial aids to purchase weapons or even to increase pressure on their own political opponents.

On the other hand, there are multiple ways that can make people confident about the destiny of their helps. Firstly, they can help poor countries not only through financial aids, but also through consulting about how they can manage those monies. For instance, their governments can determine some expert individuals who are able to manage all aids that are going to send other countries and make sure that these aids are going to receive by real needy people. Secondly, individuals can send their aids in other formats instead of money. For instance, they can pass foods, clothes or health related products especially for women or children.

In conclusion, I can understand why people are concerned about the way that their aids is going to spend, but it seems to me that governments can take different actions like determining some experts or changing the format of their helps to goods in order to prevent negative consequences of financial aids.
