It is true that many species are becoming endangered as a result of human actions. This can be attributed to a range of factors, and in this essay, I will outline some solutions to it.
One of the major factors that can clearly be seen is the raising in the number of habitats being destroyed. The fast development of industrialization has many effects on the natural environment, with the increase in deforestation for new areas, high amounts of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, and the pollutants of soil and water because of industry wastes. As a result, abundant animals don’t have space to live, along the diminish of food sources like plants leads to their extinction. Otherwise, humans also hunt animals for food, ivory, and skin, it is another pressure for the survival of them. For example, there were around 30,000 elephants in the western jungle of Vietnam in 1998; however, because of the illegal hunting for ivories, only 300 individuals were left with the data from a survey in 2012.
Fortunately, several measures could be taken to prevent this problem. The first action the government should take is to recover the living environment for animals by increasing conservation in particular areas to save endangered species and regenerate habitats. Moreover, strict rules about hunting, and trading wild animals must be announced, as well as implement extensive media coverage of the issue to raise environmental awareness. Additionally, people should avoid consuming wildlife products so that the demand decreases, as well as illegal poaching.
In conclusion, it is clear that there are various reasons for the extinction of animals due to human activities, and steps need to be taken to tackle this problem.
