In recent years, many animal species have become endangered due to human activities both on land and at sea. While there are several reasons why animal species are becoming extinct, a number of practical solutions can help to address this problem.
There are two main causes of animal extinction. First of all, deforestation and pollution are largely caused by human beings. In other words, people increasingly cut down trees for their personal needs, and during camping seasons they throw excessive amounts of trash into natural environments and animal habitats. For example, groups of children having outdoor lessons may leave polluted items such as bottles, plastic waste, and food remains in natural areas. Consequently, such actions can destroy animals’ natural habitats. Another significant reason is poaching. In particular, people illegally hunt animals to exploit their fur or other materials such as ivory and crocodile leather. For instance, elephants and rare snakes are hunted for their valuable bones and skin. Hence, these activities disturb the natural balance and contribute to the destruction of wildlife. As a result, human actions such as deforestation, pollution, and poaching are the main causes of animals becoming endangered.
Nevertheless, the issue of animal extinction is not insurmountable, as several solutions can be implemented. First and foremost, protected areas and eco-friendly reserves should be established to provide animals with safe environments where they can live and increase in population. For example, international organizations such as the United Nations could support governments financially to create wildlife reserves. This solution would be effective because animals would be able to live without human disturbance.
The second measure is the enforcement of strict laws and regulations to prevent illegal hunting. Implementing severe punishments could deter poachers from targeting endangered and rare animals. Therefore, actions such as creating protected areas, preserving green spaces, and enforcing strict laws can effectively reduce animal extinction.
In conclusion, deforestation and poaching are major factors contributing to the endangerment of animal species. However, measures such as establishing wildlife reserves, protecting green areas, and enforcing strict laws against poachers are feasible solutions to tackle, or at least mitigate, animal extinction.
