Wildllife habitats are being destroyed and whole species of animals are on the verge of disappearance due to human activities on land and in the sea. This essay will first elaborate on the primary culprits rendering this phenomenon and then propose viable remedies to tackle the problem.
On the one hand, there are a number of rationales why animals are disappearing. The immediate cause of this issue is that urban expansion and the demand for more agricultural land lead to the destruction of habitats that house thousands of animals. For example, farmers clear forests to make room for planting crops and raising livestock, and other logging operations that provide timber and paper products. Another conributing factor is that environmental pollution and overfishing are also responsible for the destruction of aquatic life as many fisherman priortize profits over the diversity of species. In particular, industrial plants dump sewage and other toxic subtances into the water directly harm animials, affecting their health, reproduction, and ultimately their survival.
On the other hand, despite the aforementioned reasons, I believe that several measures should be taken to mitigate the situation. One efficacious remedy is that governments and environmental organizations should identify and priorize the protection of vulnerable wild lands, They can also support in habitat restoration, reforestation, and enfore laws with high penalties to curb illegal hunting and wildlife trade. Another approach would be for the raise of individual’s awareness. For instance, people should be taught about how to protect sea environment and endanger species living when they were children. Consequently, they can understand about the importance of animal species and have a better awareness to preserve the natural environment.
In conclusion, although the gradual disappearance of animal species can stem from many causes, there are a number of workable solutions counteract this proplem such as platnting trees, or raising human awareness.
