The given two graphs illustrate the ownership proportion of electrical modern appliances (washing machine, refrigerator, and vacuum cleaner) and how much time households in one country spent doing housework every week during the same period.

Overall, the ownership of the three appliances increased during this period, with the greatest growth all time and the amount of time spent on housework rapidly decreased

In 1920, refrigerators were used in only around 1% of households and steadily increased to approximately 100% by 1960, All households had a refrigerator and this remained largely the same until 2019. Similarly, vacuum cleaners were used around 30% of households in 1920; this increased rapidly to 100% by 2000 and remained the same until 2019. Similarly, for washing machines, there was 40% usage in 1920, increasing to 60% in 1960 and remaining stable until 2019. The washing machine showed a significant increase initially compared to vacuum cleaners and refrigerator however, it surprisingly showed less than both in the end.

On the other hand, the amount of time spent on housework fell from 50 hour per week to 20 hours per week, to 1960 and it remained steady from 1980 at 15 hours per week to 10 hours per week in 2019.
