The number of the world’s population is keeping to increase, and it is now considered as the greatest problem for humanity. The reason for this trend is the good achievements in a medical field which in turn results in the huge difference between birth and death rates, and I do not think that a rising number of people is the biggest issue compared to the climate change.
in today’s world, because of advanced medical skills humanity is not experiencing almost any severe diseases, that lead to the death. Medical researchers are working on particular projects which were real challenges in the past. For these studies almost 70% of illnesses are now curable, and its results can be seen in facts that contain comparisons between a birth rate and a death rate. In other words, the modern medical knowledge causes lower rates of death, and with this effect, even birth rates maintain their levels, the number of people in the Earth increases. In Germany, for example, as a result of high level of medical mastery, babies were born twice more than people who passed away in 2023.
In my opinion, the climate change is more serious problems than the growing number of population. the main point is that if the global temperature continues to rise, humanity will start to extinct because of the uncontrollable situation. In simpler terms, the global warming affects on the decline of water supplies and melting of ice in Southern pole, then its consequences will appear in our environment and health. In this situation, although we will have appropriate medical treatments, they do not benefit to us without clean water. Additionally, since we will face the increase of water level we will lose necessary lands which provide with foods and goods. New Zealand exemplify this perfectly, as people are suffering from drowned fields and lacking of natural clean water sources.
In conclusion, the reason for the overpopulation in the world is the success of scholars in a medical field. Furthermore, I disagree with an idea that increasing number of people is the main issue, because a natural disaster related to the higher temperature can create more catastrophes than aforementioned problem.
