Overall, noticeable changes were witnessed in the presence of the cafe, lecture room, and self-service machines, which replaced the enquiry desk. Likewise, some improvements were made, including expanding the children’s corner and demolishing the reading room.
In terms of the central library, 20 years ago, three rooms of the same size were available for children’s books, computer games, and a reading room. The adult books could be found outdoors in two categories (fiction and non-fiction), separated by tables and chairs in the middle. Beside the entrance, the enquiry desk helped the visitors with ticketing, book returns, and other activities.
Examined to how it looked in the past, the central library today is highlighted by the expanded children’s corner, which provides book and storytelling events along with two sofas. The self-service machines are built to replace human tasks, whereas the information desk and adult fiction books are still available. To the south of the children’s room, all reference books space exists, and the computer room afterwards. The lecture room, in the northeast corner, takes over the old children’s place, while the cafe can be found to the left of the entrance
