Band 5+: The first impression you have of a person is the best way to judge a person do you agree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Some people say that the first thing you see in a person can be the reason to judge. However, I think it is wrong to criticize person by your first impression about him/her. In this essay i will give reasons for this statement.

It is believed that you can find out person’s character in a first sight and your finding allows to judge them. Those claim that person’s behavior among others can say a lot about him/her. That is why it is acceptable for some to judge other person, even they see that person for the first time. However, I suppose we can not criticize someone if just see person’s bad attitude. For instance, every person has a personal life and troubles, thus they can be difficult situation that does not allow them to manage their emotions and actions.

On the other hand, It should not be acceptable to judge a person, even if we have negative impressions toward them. We do not have a right to hate someone by impression that we make ourselves. For example, there are people who might not smile when you look at them, but in the inside they are generous and ready to help people. In many cases, first impressions are not worked well than we actually think. For instance, many intimate friends were kind of enemies in the beginning, because of their wrong impression in the first place. Consequently, it is better to be friendly and open to have a talk to make final decision about them.

In conclusion, we do not have a right to judge people by looking at them for the first time. Also, it is unknown a person’s personal troubles, that may led us to wrong impression about him/her. That is why we should be close to a person to know him/her well.
