It is inappropriate that the spare time events of generation Alpha were organised by their parents especially considering the fact of dissatisfaction of children and acting as an obsticle for their self-development.
First of all, they will feel disappointed when their parents force them to do something. Everyone have their own desires, including children. In their age, they might not consider that much about their future, only focus on the happiness they experience at that moment, so they will likely play fun, and not doing something ‘meaningful’. Parents often boom out a thought that developing skills is a ‘must’ for their children, so parents organise activities for them, leaving them no fun and play, only leasure classes. For example, the ‘tiger moms’ controls their son and daughters, having them attend tutor classes afterschools and even weekends. But for youngsters, joyfulness is everything. Cram schools not only brings boredum, but also reducing positive feelings. So you could even draw an equal sign between parents organising lesure activites and dissatisfaction.
Secondly, children can develop decision making skills during the process. While children have to make choice by themselves, it states that they can practice their mind to decide whether it is right or wrong. And by more and more attempt when facing the consequences of their chocies, they will rapidly grow up. Oppositely , children will only follow their parents’ order blindly, without judging by themselves, leading them failed to develop decision making skills, and even rely on their parents. Imagine a child’s life are totally organised by their parents, they will not able to manage their own time in the future due to the relience during childhood. It will likely cause them to learn self management when they started to work.
