One school of thought holds that instead of investing a huge budget to environmental issues in local areas, the authorities should spend more fundings on urgent and more threatening the global issues such as global warming. Although there are plausible reasons for this believe, I partly agree with this development.
On the one hand, it is undeniable that spending a huge sum on dealing with global problems can brings several merits. One significant benefit is that the modern technologies which used for addressing these issues can be developed dramatically. In particular, with up-to-times machines such as spaceships and support-breathing devices, scientists and astronomers can profoundly explore the original of various global problems such as rising global temperature and rising sea levels. As a result, some studies have shown that main reasons for serious problems that humans suffer from is the depletion of ozone layer. Therefore, this is a cornerstone for researching the most effective method to solve these problems. It is clear that without the supports from governments, some breakthroughs in addressing global issues can be limited. Thus, it is worthing that the authorities should spend more budget on global issues.
On the other hand, it is argued that this development brings demerits. In fact, the root factor that leads to our global disasters is the environmental problems in local areas. The main reason is that several destructions of humans in local destinations such as cutting down trees and hunting illegally lead to imbalanced biodiversity. As a result, the volume of carbon dioxide are increasing, resulting in various disasters and other global issues. For example, water contamination in India result in loss of biodiversity in related areas and imbalanced food chains because water is living environment for various sea creatures, leading to disturbance in exchanging carbon dioxide of natural species. Clearly, investing to deal with local issues is more necessary than to explore global problems.
In conclusion, while spending more money on technology can address urgent and threatening global problems effectively, investing to local environmental problems quite more necessary.
