It is a common belief that nobody can infringe on the people’s freedom. However, I firmly believe that one’s freedom could be violated by the government in some special cases, such as preventing everyone from potential dangers or, in other case, ensuring compliance with safe regulations.
To begin with, the intervention of the one’s freedom should sometimes be maken by the government for several special reasons. Given the quantity of these increasing terrorisms in the world, measures must be taken to prevent potential threats against everyone, such as those attacks by terrorists. For instance, in order to prevent bomings or detect a person who wants to find a way to illegally smuggle illegally goods into or out of the country, or the transport of dangerous materials, airports around the world carefully checked the security of passengers and their belongings. Although, this imposed some restrictions on the fundamental personal rights of people, like the violations of personal spaces, it is necessary to guarantee the safety of passengers on the flight from harm. Therefore, I am of the opinion that individual privacy should sometimes be interfered with by the government to protect everyone, not only in the flight, but also people around the world.
What’s more, the government could interfere with the individual privacy meant to make sure that the safety measures were followed. When it comes to certain jobs, it can affect to people’s lives if employees do not safely and responsiblly act. In this regard, it is important to certaintly ensure that the employees in these fields obeyed those safe rules, even if their rights were interfered with during the process. Take the example of these bus drivers and pilots. If they do not dedicately work in their capacity, they would not safely perform assigned tasks. Thus, making them undergo random medical tests would be a great way to guarantee that they have enough health and working ability. It is mandatory to protect everyone from the inevitable dangers. Obviously, it is very necessary to make sure that they do not put people’s lives in a dangerous circle.
To sum up, I could make the assertion that these restrictions on the individual rights are inevitable and compulsory if the government would like to protect the society from countless harms.
