If the government did not help promoting the artwork, the young generation, particularly children, would definitely grow without knowing their cultural backgrounds.

Consequently, vast variety of artworks might certainly display diversity and spark the curiosity, and thus actually increase the influx of tourists into the country. In other words, stimulating tourism enhances the demand for services and products, and drives up small businesses. Tourism is a roaring business, which allows trade to flourish, as a country can benefit from it in the long run.
