The line graph illustrates the percentage of the population living in cities between 1970 and 2020, with predictions for 2030 and 2040, in four Asian countries. Overall, the level of urbanization increased in all four nations over the period.

In 1970, both the Philippines and Malaysia had urban populations of around 30%, which were higher than those of Thailand – approximately 18%, and Indonesia – about 13%. By 1990, Malaysia rose significantly to roughly 45%, and became the leading country. In contrast, Indonesia experienced the smallest increase during this period. However, it showed considerable growth overall, from 13% in 1970 to 50% by 2020.

According to the prediction, Malaysia will rise to over 80% by 2040 and remain the highest among the four nations. During this time, Indonesia also grew steadily, reaching about 65% by the end of the period. Meanwhile, Thailand is expected tp grow as well and reach approximately 50%, although it will still have the lowest figure.

In conclusion, the percentage of the population in all four countries has increased and is expected to continue rising in the future. Malaysia has the highest percentage, while Indonasia shows strong growth over time.
