The overall population grew and reached its peak in 2017, and it was split into two, one, who is staying on the ship, and another, who is staying on the island.
At first glance, the number of people residing on the island remains constant, whereas, those who stay on the cruise ship increased by double in 2011; however, the former increased to 1. 25 million while, the latter drops down to its original starting population, in 2012. In contrast, both the numbers extended by 0. 25 million in 2013 and, there was a sudden increase in numbers staying on boats in 2014, which increased by 1 million, but the number of visitors staying on the island remained the same until 2015, after which it lowered by 0. 25 million in 2016, and reached 1. 5 million in 2017. On the other hand, the number of travelers residing on the island increased from 2014 at a uniform rate, and reached 2 million in 2017. By considering these two, the overall number of tourists keeps on increasing throughout the trend, and reaches its maximum of 3. 5 million in 2017, which starts at 1 million in 2010.
